Camp Cho-Yeh’s Media Team is hugely instrumental to the camp experience and culture. Not only does this team of people document and share all that happens at camp, but they also have an incredible opportunity to tell the story of why Camp matters through images and video.
Every single day, Media Team captures hours of footage and hundreds of photos that accomplish the following:
- Memories for our campers and staffers
o Online photo gallery
o Weekly highlight video
- Marketing materials for the following year
o Camper Recruitment
o College Staff Recruitment
- Special projects for our Donors and Partners
o Donation Thank-You’s
o Gift Requests
o Scholarship Fund
- Social Media campaigns launched in both Fall & Spring
Media Team is comprised of 3 videographers and 2 photographers. These are great entry-level positions for both pre-professionals and hobbyists, but both passion and skill are required of applicants. In the midst of pursuing excellence, we are also passionate in pursuing community. All videographers and photographers will be working alongside one another to achieve shared goals – helping edit, sort, film, offer feedback, etc. As well, you will be immersed into all the craziness and messiness that is summer camp. It's a BLAST.
Media Team is not for the faint of heart. Applicants must have a desire to be challenged and sharpened, not only in his or her field, but also in their spiritual walk. We ask that you do not "hide" behind your camera, but instead see God at work through your lens.
Position Term: ASAP - August 12, 2017
Videographers will capture footage from activities, evening programs, special events (i.e. Man Camp, Lake Livingston, etc), and for promotional projects. With this footage, they will produce a 20 to 25-minute highlight video of each week of camp. This video is shown at the end of the week and many campers leave with a copy on DVD. As well, videographers will aim to create several teaser videos for Social Media prior to the end of the week. All final products will go into a professional portfolio.
Highlight videographers follow a production schedule, shoot footage, edit videos and duplicate DVDs. Promotional videos will be created upon direction and initial brainstorming for Summer 2015.
