Safety:
We understand and value the trust that parents bestow on us with the care of their child. We value that trust and take our responsibility seriously. Safety is our foremost concern in all we do at Camp. Our summer and residential staff are carefully screened, trained, and dedicated to a high level of safety in all activities. Our facilities and outdoor equipment are tested, maintained, and certified. Cho-Yeh employs licensed medical personnel during every Camp session to provide excellent medical care to both our campers and staff.

Preventing Abuse at Camp
Camp Cho-Yeh is proud to be a member of Praesidium’s Camp Care. Our decision to exceed national standards of care comes from our strong commitment to protect our staff, volunteers, and campers. Safety is always our primary concern for all camp programs, so we have partnered with Praesidium to make sure we have policies and procedures in place to facilitate effective monitoring and supervision in order to protect campers from abuse and staff and volunteers from false allegations of abuse.

Medical Staff
Each week of the summer, our Infirmary is staffed with two medical personnel. These individuals are highly qualified in their field and are Registered Nurses, Nurse Practitioners, or doctors. During their term, they live on-site in our Infirmary and are on-call 24 hours a day.
The Infirmary
The Infirmary is located centrally in camp across the road from the Dining Hall. It can house up to 14 sick or injured campers at a time. Medical personnel live in the Infirmary, so there is 24-hour supervision of visiting campers.
At Cho-Yeh safety is at the top of our core values. The safety and health of your camper is very important to us, as it is to you. We are located within 5 miles of Livingston Medical Center and have an emergency vehicle ready for use at all times. In the event a camper needs to be taken to the doctor, Dr. Carol Jacobs of Livingston Pediatric Clinic is the doctor Camp Cho-Yeh uses.
Medical Policies
Cho-Yeh abides by all medical policies set forth by the American Camp Association.
Medication is distributed at breakfast, lunch, activities, dinner, and bedtime. All medications MUST include the prescription for the specified camper. Over-the-counter medications are given at the discretion of the camp medical staff and is provided by Camp Cho-Yeh at no additional cost.
Health Forms
Cho-Yeh requires that all campers fill out and have on file a medical form signed by a physician. These forms help our medical staff know your camper's medical history in the event they are sick.
ACA Accreditation
Cho-Yeh is accredited by the American Camping Association and therefore adheres to the highest standards set by the camping industry. Cho-Yeh prides itself in its association with ACA and the hard work it requires to maintain this valued standing.
