Let us be a Destination along Your Journey
People come to Camp Cho-Yeh for many reasons, but they all have at least one thing in common: they are all in process. Each one is on a journey, and most are just passing through our camp (some end up staying!). We recognize that in our ministry at Camp Cho-Yeh we join with an ongoing work that God is doing in the lives of the individuals we serve as well as in the communities of which they are a part. It is during this time that the process of life change is accelerated and intensified in powerful ways.
Camps and retreats are sometimes described as "mountaintop experiences," and people are sometimes critical of that because it is not sustainable. It's true, camp isn't normal life, it is a place where life is clarified, where God's voice is heard more clearly, where we look from this vantage point to see the way for the next season. It's like a journey through the mountains. You don't plot your course in the valley, you seek high ground from which to find those all important reference points that help you find your way ahead.
To that end, we seek to be that stopover on the way from where you are to where you are going. We pray that in your time at Camp Cho-Yeh, you would retreat in order to advance; to stop long enough to keep going; and to find a glimpse of that which you seek. We are honored to be a destination along your Journey.
