Established in 2022, Boxwoods is a unique, exclusive-use camp constructed primarily from shipping containers and highlights the natural beauty of the area. 

Outdoor gathering spaces encourage meaningful relationships and face-to-face connections.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many kids can I bring to Boxwoods?

Boxwoods is an exclusive-use camp available for youth and young adult groups.  25 shipping containers have been converted into cabins that provide 300 beds for kids and adult chaperones.  Additional rooms for leaders, speakers, and VIPs are available in The Lodge.  

Does Boxwoods provide lifeguards?

Yes!  We provide certified lifeguards for beach and lake activities.

Can Boxwoods accommodate special diet requests?

Yes!  Group leaders should work with their Boxwoods Coordinator prior to arrival to make arrangements for students needing gluten-free, dairy-free, and vegetarian meals.

Does Boxwoods provide medical facilities or staff?

Groups are responsible for providing their own medical staff.  Medical staffing requirements: A physician, registered nurse, licensed vocational nurse, or a person with an American Red Cross Emergency Response certificate, or its equivalent, shall be in the camp and on-call at all times, and will be considered the Camp Health Officer.

Can students buy snacks at Boxwoods?

Yes!  The Boxwoods Canteen is located near The Yard and provides students and leaders with the opportunity to purchase snacks, drinks, ice cream, and snow cones each day.  A wide variety of Boxwoods merch is also available.  Cash and credit cards are accepted.
