Building the Next Generation of Christian Leaders: Brooklyn’s Story

Each summer we see first-hand how God uses passionate college students to impact the lives of young girls and guys.  By intentionally showing the love of Christ in their actions and words, counselors build the next generation of Christian leaders.  In a critical season where most campers were dealing with isolation, change, and loss, Camp Cho-Yeh got to be a place where Jesus Christ transformed lives through meaningful relationships and outdoor adventures.

Laura is grateful for those who have given to the Camper Scholarship Fund which provided a life-transforming experience for her daughter, Brooklyn, this summer:

“Words can not even begin to express how much Brooklyn’s life was changed as a result of her stay at Camp Cho Yeh, which was all made possible by donors. With her dad and I both losing our jobs, there was no way we could make it happen without help!

Brooklyn came home more independent (willing to do more on her own like take baths and get her own food and drinks). She also came home more willing to help with her two siblings who are 4 and 2. But most importantly, Brooklyn came home with more of a passion and desire to follow Jesus- and a desire to be baptized!

God definitely worked on her life and her heart during camp week, and we couldn’t be more thankful to those that made this possible.

Our God is an awesome God! When we are both working again, we plan to become sponsors ourselves.” – Laura, Camper Mom
