If your kids are like mine, they would snack all day in the summer if I let them. So what if your child needs a snack at Camp? You might have noticed the “View Trading Post Accounts” in your parent account. The Trading Post is the place where campers go to hang out in the air conditioning, buy snacks, play games and buy Cho-Yeh gear. Most campers rank the Trading Post in their top 3 activities at camp!
Every day your camper will have break time and an opportunity to stop by the Trading Post. Parents can put money in their camper’s Trading Post account so they can purchase snacks or Cho-gear. One of the favorite items at the Trading Post is Blue Bell ice cream! But rest assured, your camper won’t be able to purchase 10 sweet treats in one sitting. The staff at the Trading Post makes sure that younger campers get no more than 3 treats per visit.
I usually put $60 in my camper’s account. This is enough money for my campers to buy a snack and a drink each day. They could use that money to buy a shirt or two as well, but usually they wait until I am there on Closing Day to make those purchases.
Throughout the week, you are able to check on the available funds and may add to it at any time. When you pick up your child from Camp, you may spend the remaining balance at the Trading Post to zero out the account. Any remaining balance will be refunded to the card on file, a week after Camp.
