Why We Choose Cho-Yeh: From A Mom and Daughter

We asked one of our campers and her Mom why they choose to spend their summer at Cho-Yeh each year. Here are their responses:

Camper: My name is Jenny and I’ve been going to Camp Cho-Yeh for the past 3 summers. My favorite part about camp is all of the different activities, especially the snack bar and the zipline! Every year at camp I get closer to God because of the bible studies and worship. The thing I look forward to each summer is coming back and seeing friends from old cabins, trying new activities, and seeing old counselors. I keep coming back each year because I make new friends every year and as I get older I get to do new activities like the screamer, zipline, and rockwall. I love camp!

Mom: One of benefits of sending my child to camp each summer is that my daughter learns independence in ways that she wouldn’t at home. She also has learned how to make friends in a new environment and experience things outside of her normal routine. The reason I keep sending my child to camp is the pure joy on her face when we pick her up at the end of the week. She feels so loved when she leaves camp. The joy she exudes comes from the opportunity to spend time in bible study, trying new activities, and developing incredible relationships with her counselors.
