Hurricane Relief Worker Housing

We continue to be heartbroken as we walk alongside the rescue and recovery efforts from the destruction and flooding caused by Hurricane Harvey.  Many of our camper families and retreat guests were personally impacted by the devastating events of last week.  What a privilege it was for Cho-Yeh to provide housing and meals for linemen and game wardens who were serving on the front-lines. It is our desire to be good stewards with the property and resources God has entrusted to us.

We know the clean-up and rebuilding efforts will take many months and lots of man-power, and Camp Cho-Yeh wants to partner with churches as they organize volunteers from other regions traveling here to assist with local projects.

For the rest of the year we are setting aside several cabins, totaling 62 beds, to be used free of charge by organized groups helping with relief efforts. Please help us spread the word to churches in affected areas that would like to offer housing to their out-of-town volunteers at no-charge.  For more information, contact our Retreats Reservations Department at 936-243-4911 or click on the link below.

We will continue to pray for individuals, churches, schools, and neighborhoods in the days to come.  May the grace and peace of God be with all of us as we seek to rebuild our communities together.

Sincerely,

Garret Larsen,
Executive Director
