Texas Camp Collective

Come together with other Camp Professionals!

October 26-28, 2020 at Camp Cho-Yeh

Like everything else in the world, Christian camping has seen a year unlike any other!  Reduced camper attendance in the summer (if you operated at all), the crickets of a decimated fall retreat season, and the sadness of seeing close friends become former coworkers has been heartbreaking.  If you are like us, you have pressure washed everything, painted all your doors, sold all the things you’ve been meaning to, and are generally just ready to get back to serving guests!

It’s been hard.  This is not life as we know it–nor as we want to know it!  Yet God is sovereign, He is good, and He is doing something in our midst that we need to be attentive to.  This is a unique time for us and the ministries we run, and we want to do everything we can to take advantage of the blessings of this season, while we endure its burdens.

There are bright days ahead!  Our camps will be full once again!  But for now, we thought it was important for those of us who remain to come together, to spend time in God’s presence, to connect with others who “get it,” and to do all the things that we know camp is so good for.

Coming Together

Camp Cho-Yeh invites you to join us for a few days to come together with others from around the state to stop, grieve, take a step back, and then to look forward together. There is value in hearing each other's stories and learning together from our collective experience of trying to run camp in the midst of a pandemic. We will spend time worshipping together, looking to God's Word, diving deep in departmental conversations, enjoying good food, and generally having a good time together.

All the Details!

We don't want the cost to be a barrier to getting together as Camp People. We are recommending a payment of $40/person, but truly want you to pay whatever is within reach--or nothing at all!
