Guest Retreat Specialist

The Guest Retreat Host works with our retreat department to serve our guest groups in a wide variety of areas. The Guest Host will help set up for guest groups prior to arrival, be present and available while the guest groups on camp, and then shut down camp after the guest group has left. The Guest Host will help run activities for guest groups and anything else that might come up over the guest group stay.

Recreation Assistant

Recreation Specialist will work with the recreation team to oversee all aspects of recreation at Camp Cho-Yeh. Daily work involves the facilitation and maintenance of aquatics, high ropes, and other classic camp activities. This is a great role to get started in the growing field of Recreation Management. The Recreation Department serves summer camp and retreat ministries, so candidates will have a well-rounded experience.

Construction Craftsman

The Construction Craftsman will work with a team to build new structures and remodel existing structures at Camp Cho-Yeh. The Construction Craftsman will have full access to the Waypoint Leadership Program which includes leadership curriculum, personal development classes, one on one professional coaching, community building, and outreach opportunities, with intentional and practical opportunity for spiritual growth. The Construction Assistant will be an important member of Camp Cho-Yeh’s team in offering guests, campers, and camper parents an exceptional experience at our best in class facilities.

Recruiter

Our Recruiting Interns are on the road most of the year, helping us find high quality college students from across Texas and other states. A passion for camp ministry, an outgoing personality and the ability to initiate meaningful conversations are key qualities that will help our Recruiting Interns successfully compel other Gospel-centered men and women to apply for the ministry of Camp Cho-Yeh.

Retail Specialist

The Retail Specialist is responsible for the overall operations of the camp store. These tasks include organizing, executing and evaluating day-to-day tasks; assisting campers, parents, and retreat guests with purchases; and generating store sales. In addition, the Retail Specialist works within budget parameters to select and maintain inventory. The Retail Specialist will interview, train, and manage the Trading Post summer staff.

Compass Gap Year Resident Assistant

The Resident Assistant is selected to be an integral member of the Compass Gap Year Program. He/she reports to and is directly accountable to the Compass Director. The RA lives and works with our Compass residents in areas of mentoring, discipleship ministry, leadership, community development, discipline, administration, and general operation of the Gap year community at Lighthouse Point in particular, and the Camp Cho-Yeh community in general.
